To add mass and minimize resonances, the case was reinforced with a five pound custom made 1/4"thick steel 'L' plate, and the motor board was reinforced with a 1/8" steel plate.  This resulted in a VAST reduction in motor noise.   The motor circuit was carefully rewired utilizing a period correct terminal board and high reliability crimped terminals in place of the original messy wire nuts.  The switch capacitor was replaced with a 'safety' capacitor.   The new tonearm leads are as short as is practical featuring all soldered connections to high-quality gold-plated RCA through connectors on the back connection plate, so that you can use your choice of cables to your preamp. It also unplugs underneath for easy removal of the tonearm if you should ever want to do so.
